Citibank makes it easy and safe (PIN-number secure) for you to load cash value into your chip card. You choose the method that is best for your needs. Remember to treat your card like cash, keep it secure. Citibank customers can use a convenient pocket-size card reader which can show you the balance on your Money Chip, as well as the last ten transactions.


You can add cash value onto any of the Chip Cards from any checking, savings or money market account by simply putting your card into the Citibank load kiosk or Personal ATM®, entering your PIN number, then selecting the amount of cash value you want loaded onto your card (up to $500).

Or you can load cash value onto your Chip Cards from any Citibank credit card (as a cash advance), or even from another bank's ATM or credit card (as a cash advance). First, put the card from which you plan to withdraw funds into the load kiosk, then enter your PIN number, and the amount of cash value you wish to withdraw up to $500. Next, remove the card and put in your Chip Card. The cash value will be added to the Chip Card.


You can load cash value into your Money Card from your Citicard or Citibank credit card (as a cash advance), or even from another bank's ATM or credit card (as a cash advance). First, put the card from which you plan to withdraw funds into the load kiosk, then enter your PIN number, and the amount of cash value you wish to withdraw. Next, remove the card and put in your Money Card. The cash value will be added to the chip card.
