The Citibank Chip card is really very easy to use. When you are ready to make your purchase, simply insert the card into the participating merchant's chip card terminal. Your current balance will be displayed to let you know how much "electronic cash" you have remaining to spend. The cashier (or you) will enter the amount of your transaction, which is then displayed to you. When you press the "yes" button on the card terminal, the amount of your purchase is automatically deducted from your card balance. No need to wait for change or for an authorization. You're done. It's that simple.
